Unlocking Insights for Equitable Change

In a world where reliable data is key to shaping policies and fostering inclusive growth, the absence of comprehensive data on communities of color poses a critical challenge. As we navigate the complex aftermath of COVID-19, rising wealth inequality, environmental crises, and threats to democracy, understanding ethnic/racial, economic, and other disparities is essential for effective decision-making.

During the webinar, the teams behind the Latino Data Hub and the Black Wealth Data Center will provide public demonstrations of their pioneering data platforms.

About the Platforms:

Black Wealth Data Center: Launched and supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Greenwood Initiative, the Black Wealth Data Center (BWDC) is dedicated to bridging the gap in data concerning Black wealth. With a comprehensive and growing collection of data, disaggregated by race where available, the BWDC aims to empower public and private sector leaders with actionable data for policy making and investment decisions and raise the standard for data collection and access.

Latino Data Hub: Developed by the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute (UCLA LPPI), the Latino Data Hub is a groundbreaking platform launched in October 2023. Available in both English and Spanish, it offers disaggregated data on over 130 indicators, covering various socio-economic variables and ten different issue areas. This platform aims to provide critical insights into Latino communities, enabling more inclusive and targeted policy interventions.
