Alondra Cervantes
ALONDRA CERVANTES (she/her/ella) is a senior at UCLA majoring in Sociology with minors in Public Affairs and Community Engagement and Social Change. As an incoming Policy Fellow within the Research Department, Alondra is passionate about immigration and housing policy, healthcare access, and criminal justice reform. She plans to pursue a career in public policy and uplift systematically marginalized communities.
At UCLA, Alondra served as President of the Latinx Greek Council, overseeing eight Latinx-based fraternities and sororities. She is a proud member of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., where she served as chapter treasurer for two years. Alondra has worked with various non-profits, including El Sereno Community Land Trust and Initiate Justice, conducting research and advocating for impacted community members. Over the summer, she was selected for the UCLA PPIA Public Service Weekend cohort, where she developed skills to support her commitment to public service and social change. She currently serves as a policy and operations fellow for Sade Elhawary’s Campaign for CA State Assembly District 57.
Alondra is a proud daughter of hard working Mexican immigrants and, as the oldest of three, she is dedicated to giving back to her family for their sacrifices and support.
