On Tuesday, May 9, 2023 the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute (LPPI) hosted its fourth annual California Latino Legislative Policy Briefing and Luncheon at the California Endowment office in Sacramento.
The briefing convened an esteemed group of policy experts, advocates, and practitioners to hear directly from leading scholars on three of California’s most pressing policy issues: the growing crisis of Latino homelessness, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on California’s Generation Z, and the efficacy of Medi-Cal expansion in California to close rates of uninsurance. Evidence-based interventions are necessary to ensure policy integrates the needs of all Californians, and featured speakers included:
