Democrats and Republicans invested large sums in persuading white voters, while neglecting the Latinos and young voters of color who have proved critical to Democratic support in Arizona. UCLA research shows Latinos overwhelmingly supported Biden in Maricopa, Pima and Yuma counties, driving Biden toward victory there.Â
In a study of precincts with high concentrations of Latinos, the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics  Initiative found that Biden received 80% of the vote, while in 2016 Clinton got 76%. Latino  Decisions’ election eve poll found that 70% of Latinos nationwide voted for Biden while 27% voted for Trump.Â
